Graduate Students

Haewon Chon

Haewon Chon is a Ph.D student in the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland . Haewon began working at JGCRI in the spring of 2006. Haewon is working with JGCRI and Professor Matthias Ruth at the University of Maryland on a research project exploring the impacts of technological change on the economic costs of atmospheric greenhouse gas stabilization. The research includes extensive work defining technology scenarios and analyzing results from JGCRI's ObjECTS MiniCAM model.

William Gans
William Gans is a Research Assistant at JGCRI since Fall of 2006. He is a PhD student in the University of Maryland's Department of Agriculture and Resource Economics. His research project at JGCRI is focused on expanding our representation of building energy use and energy efficiency options

Jay Gregg
Jay Gregg is a Research Assistant at JGCRI since Fall of 2006. He is a PhD student in the University of Maryland's Geography Department. His research at JGCRI is currently focused on improving our representation of biomass residue energy supplies. His previous research included work to produce estimates of carbon dioxide emissions with improved spatial and temporal resolution.

Yabei Zhang
Yabei Zhang has been a  Research Assistant at JGCRI since the Fall of 2005. She is a PhD student in the University of Maryland's Department of Agriculture and Resource Economics. Her research at JGCRI is investigating the economic potential of solar energy technologies, including concentrating solar thermal and PV technologies.

Sam Snelling
