The objective of this paper is to analyze the adoption and impact of CCS technologies in a major US electric power region under a set of hypothetical CO2 emission constraints, while taking into account the economics of electricity generation. In doing so, we will also explore where the emissions reductions come from in the spectrum from baseload to peaking load, and what impact that has on carbon prices and electricity prices.
