Quantifying Vulnerability and/or Resilence: Experiments with a Prototype Indicator
Abstract:
The Vulnerability-Resilience Indicator Prototype framework was used to perform an assessment of India's and Indian states' vulnerability and resilience to climate change. Vulnerability is composed of (negative) sensitivities to climate change and (positive) coping-adaptive capacity. The first-order results are presented, along with a discussion of caveats and issue related to data, indicator selection, the contributions of various elements and their interactions, and qualitative analysis.
