To develop a preliminary understanding of CCS issues being raised by the media, the authors reviewed 284 recent media articles specifically mentioning carbon dioxide (CO2) capture and storage (CCS). This research was conducted as part of The Ohio River Valley CO2 Storage Project (also known as the "Mountaineer Project"). The results helped shape the project's outreach and communication efforts.
