China Program Manager, Center for Global Sustainability, University of Maryland, USA

The Center for Global Sustainability (CGS) seeks a full-time program manager to support research and communication for our Program on Energy and Climate Change in China. The program manager will help advance sustainability research, education, and the global impact of the Center’s programs.

The program manager will report to the Center Director and will work with the Research Director and the China program research leaders to deliver on our existing China energy and climate change project goals. The program manager will build a broader program to integrate collaborative action and analysis relevant to China’s energy and climate change policies. This includes but is not limited to developing long-term climate and energy transition strategies for China (Mainland and potentially Taiwan), and exploring the coal transition and accelerated coal power phase-out plant by plant in China and other countries. The program manager will support the China program mission through project coordination, writing, research, and analysis. This is an opportunity for an early- to mid-career researcher looking to engage in the policy research interface at a growing, university-based research center with both a national and international focus.
